Happy Monday, guys!
Let’s kick off the week with a splash of luxury, a hint of scandal, and your usual dose of “wait… what!?”
Today’s headline story: Qatar is gifting Trump a flying palace. Yes, you read that right! Also in today’s celeb circuit: babies, breakups, and billionaires being... well, billionaires.
Grab your coffee (or your conspiracy theories), we’re diving in…
📌 REVEALED: Qatar is gifting Trump a $400 million gift
During Trump’s upcoming trip to Qatar, he is expected to walk away with one seriously jaw-dropping “gift”: a Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet.
Not just any jet, though. This one’s a full-on flying palace, complete with private bedrooms, luxe bathrooms, and even a grand staircase.
Now, technically, it’s not a personal gift to Trump. Qatari officials say it’s a government-to-government handover. But given that the Trump family just signed a deal to build a luxury golf resort in Qatar, people are raising eyebrows. (more on that soon).
What’s funny is that Trump had actually toured this plane earlier in Palm Beach and was totally wowed by it. He’s been frustrated with Boeing dragging its feet on a new Air Force One, and even asked Elon Musk to speed things up. So this luxury jet, once used by the Qatari royals and briefly by the Turkish government, might just be the backup he’s been waiting for.
The U.S. Air Force will now refit the jet for presidential use, and after Trump’s second term? It might land at the Trump Presidential Library.
📌 But why are people getting mad over this “small gift?”
People across the political spectrum, including some of Trump’s biggest MAGA supporters, are furious over reports of this gift.
While ABC News says the plane is meant to serve as a new Air Force One before eventually landing in Trump’s presidential library, critics say the optics are, at best, appalling.
“I would take a bullet for him,” said far-right activist Laura Loomer, “but I have to call a spade a spade… I’m so disappointed.”
Her concern? Not just the lavishness, but Qatar’s ties to Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah.
Fox host Mark Levin warned the country “funds terrorism,” while Erick Erickson flat-out stated: “Qatar is not our friend.”
Democrats were more direct. “It’s simply a cash payment to Trump in exchange for favors,” said Sen. Chris Murphy.
Bernie Sanders called the move “farcically corrupt,” and Rep. Jamie Raskin reminded everyone that the Constitution forbids accepting foreign gifts without Congress' approval.
Even anti-Trump Republican Adam Kinzinger joined in: “Of course he will use it… The evil, sick, corrupt, fat, smelly grift is out of control.”
Here are some more tweets from critics:
📌BTW, here’s some Hollywood gossip for you
Selena Gomez couldn't pay her employees last month
People are mad at Wondermind (the mental health startup co-founded by Selena Gomez) and not without reason.
They have allegedly run out of cash and failed to pay their employees, freelancers, and vendors since late March. “We were working for a mental health company while worrying about our own,” one staffer said.
Despite raising $5 million at a $100 million valuation in 2022, and having Gomez, a $700 million mogul, as a cofounder, the company seems to be barely afloat.
Employees say Gomez has been largely absent: “We have to fight with her agent to get her to do anything for us,” one claimed.
Others blame CEO Mandy Teefey (Gomez’s mom), who reportedly turned down major brand deals and lacked the operational chops to steer the ship. “She means well,” said one employee, “but there have been so many promises unkept.”
Things hit rock bottom when Teefey told staff she'd taken out a loan against her home to cover debts. Payments are supposedly on their way, but confidence is shaken. “Even if this loan does come through… then what?” an employee asked.
And, Amber Heard welcomes twins!!!
On Mother’s Day 2025, she shared on Instagram that she’s welcomed twins: daughter Agnes and son Ocean. They join big sister Oonagh, who was born in 2021 via surrogate.
Amber, now 39, called this Mother’s Day “unforgettable,” expressing how building her dream family has been both joyful and humbling, especially as a solo parent navigating fertility challenges.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared how choosing motherhood on her own terms changed her life and brought her immense fulfillment.
Though Amber kept Oonagh’s birth private for nearly three months, she eventually opened up about her decision, acknowledging the tension between privacy and public curiosity.
Since her high-profile legal battles with Johnny Depp, she’s been living quietly in Madrid, embracing full-time parenting and stepping away from Hollywood’s chaos.
Now, with three little ones, Amber says her heart and hands are full. She’s grateful, centered, and celebrating all the moms who found their way to motherhood in their own way.
