Hello hello! What’s up with y’all today? We’re feeling extra good today as we have come across some really interesting stories that we can’t wait to share with you.
But before we get started, let’s assign you a task first:
📌 Pick a subject completely outside your usual interests—like blockchain, mushroom foraging, or origami.
Learning about subjects outside your usual interests expands your perspective and makes you more well-rounded. You gain insights into different industries, hobbies, or scientific concepts, which can spark creative ideas and new connections. Moreover, exploring unrelated subjects can lead to cross-disciplinary thinking. Often, solutions to problems in one field can be found by applying concepts from another.
Now, let’s get into the stories…
In today’s edition, we’ll be unveiling both the dark and bright side of people that got revealed only because of the Internet. So, hold on tight, and don’t miss out on any of these stories.
The Wedding Dress Drama
It all started when an Atlanta-based designer, Cenderra Ca'Zanthia, called out a bride named Raylee Rukavina for allegedly taking a couture gown without paying the full balance. In a viral TikTok, Cenderra shared clips of Raylee happily trying on the dress for her big day. But according to the designer, Raylee never paid the remaining amount, took the dress, and then blocked her on social media—yikes!
Cenderra’s videos have gained millions of views, with many people rallying behind her, saying Raylee needs to do the right thing and settle up. But not everyone’s convinced—some are asking for more “receipts” to back up the claim. People are also questioning why the dress was shipped before full payment was secured. Cenderra admits it was a lesson learned the hard way and says she’ll be using escrow for future transactions.
As the drama unfolds, Raylee has gone silent, deleting her social media accounts, leaving everyone to speculate. (More)
The Accidental Donation
One chilly March morning, Matt Busbice was jolted awake by a fire alarm. After finding no fire, he decided a coffee run might do the trick. So, dressed in casual clothes with a backward cap, he strolled to the nearest café, completely unaware that he was about to experience something that would change his outlook on life.
As he reached the café, Matt realized he’d forgotten to pray that morning. Finding a quiet corner, he closed his eyes and took a moment to connect with his faith. While he was standing there, a young boy walked up to him and handed him a dollar bill. “If you’re homeless, here’s a dollar,” said 9-year-old Kelvin Ellis Jr. The boy explained that he had always wanted to help someone in need and felt proud to finally get his chance. Kelvin had no idea that Matt wasn’t homeless, nor that he was, in fact, a millionaire.
Matt, whose full name is Matthew Busbice, owns a successful sporting goods store and is the co-founder of Wildgame Innovations. He’s even been on reality TV. But despite his wealth and success, that small gesture from a kind-hearted child moved him more than any financial gain ever had. “I haven’t had that much faith in humanity in a very long time,” Matt later shared.
Instead of just taking the dollar and moving on, Matt wanted to acknowledge Kelvin’s generosity. He bought breakfast for the boy and coffee for his dad, then offered Kelvin a 40-second shopping spree at his store, BuckFeather. Kelvin excitedly picked out everything he could, including a new bike. For Kelvin, it was more than he ever expected for giving away his dollar. When asked how he felt, Kelvin simply said, “Joy, because I helped someone. Give something away, and you feel like you’ve got a lot of things from it.” (More)
So, that’s it for today. Let’s meet again tomorrow 👋 Till then, stay curious, and be kind!
