Meet TikTok’s new owner
The Trump administration is working on a deal to have Oracle, along with some new U.S. investors, take over TikTok.
Remember when lawmakers passed that bill forcing ByteDance, TikTok’s Chinese parent company, to either sell the app or get banned in the U.S.? Well, the app did go dark for a bit, but Trump stepped in with an executive order to delay the ban.
Did you know?
At the time, Trump had this idea: a joint venture where the U.S. would own 50% of TikTok.
Fast forward to now, NPR says the plan looks a bit different. Oracle might take control of TikTok’s global operations, while ByteDance holds onto a small minority stake.
Meanwhile, some senators who backed the original ban-or-sell bill aren’t thrilled. They want ByteDance to completely let go of TikTok.
A teacher just got fired for throwing an ‘alcohol party’
Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan, the principal of Roosevelt Elementary, hosted a house party with over 100 kids in attendance. They were all wearing matching t-shirts and had easy access to coolers full of alcohol.
Things got so out of hand that one kid was found on her lawn, completely intoxicated, needing medical help. Another kid was even arrested for DUI near her home.
When the police showed up, Hill-Brodigan was caught turning off her outdoor lights and retreating inside, leaving the chaos outside. But she wasn’t the only one involved. A teacher from her school, Karly Anderson, approached the officers admitted to being at the party.
Both were arrested. They’re now facing charges for child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of minors.
BTW, sadly Palestinians' return to home is now on pause
They’ve gathered at the Netzarim Corridor, a road that separates north and south Gaza, but there’s a problem - it’s blocked by Israeli troops.
Here’s the backstory:
Israel was supposed to open the route as part of a ceasefire agreement. But that plan hit a wall after Hamas didn’t release a civilian hostage, Arbel Yehud, on time.
Hamas says she’s alive and promised to free her next week, but for now, the blockade stays.
Still, people are determined.
OpenAI might replace Google soon
OpenAI just launched a new feature called Operator, which is like a supercharged assistant. It can do things like book your travel, make restaurant reservations, and even shop online - all by itself.
Once you activate it, a small window pops up with a live browser where you can see the AI doing its thing, and it even explains what it’s up to.
Right now, it’s only available for U.S. users on the $200/month ChatGPT Pro plan.
Lastly, this is the ULTIMATE red flag in a relationship
Let’s talk about OnlyFans and relationships - because, oh boy, do Aussies have opinions. Turns out, whether subscribing to a creator on OnlyFans counts as “cheating” is a hot topic.
Here’s the tea: 56% of women think it’s absolutely cheating if their partner subscribes to a porn star’s channel.
Men? Not so much - only 38% agree. Instead, 48% of men say it depends on the type of interaction, and some women (36%) agree with that take.

Couples who live together seem a little more chill about it - many say, “It depends.” But for those living apart? Over half think it’s a big no-no.
And while watching porn together can actually improve relationship satisfaction (fun fact!), secretly consuming it? That’s where trust issues creep in.
