It’s Wednesday - smack dab in the middle of the week, where motivation is running on fumes.
But guess what?
Today’s main topic is one for the books: Feed Your Ex to a Cat. Not literally, of course.
But, hey, we’ve got a juicy (and definitely not literal) take on some relationship drama to entertain you.
You heard it right! You can feed your ex's 'heart' to wildcats
So, you're going through a breakup this Valentine’s Day?
Well, I’ve got something that might just make you crack a smile - or at least make you feel a little better about your situation.
Wildcat Ridge Sanctuary in Oregon is offering a pretty wild (pun intended) way to get back at your ex. For a $50 donation, you can submit your ex’s name, and they’ll feed a meat-and-jello mold "heart" to a wildcat.
The best part? You’ll get a video of the whole thing to watch as many times as you want.
Plus, the donation goes to support abused and abandoned wildcats, so you’re doing some good while you’re at it.
BTW here’s a HILARIOUS way to avoid a second date
So, here's a funny (and totally unexpected) way to avoid a second date without hurting anyone's feelings.
TikToker Jo Brundza has figured it out.
Instead of saying outright that she’s not interested, she convinces the other person that the moon isn’t real.
Yes, you read that right.
Once she’s made up her mind, she spends the rest of the date going off on moon conspiracy theories, and trust me, it works. Her date is usually so stunned by her claims that they don’t even know how to respond.
Here are her go-to arguments:
"What exactly are they expecting to find up there?"
"The moon's just a trick of light!"
"I bet the projectors are hiding there."
By the end of the date, the other person is left questioning everything, and they’re the ones who decide not to go for a second round! Genius, right?
This mom got fired for taking leave to care for her dying daughter
Terri Estepp, a longtime employee at Huntington Bank, was fired while on Family Medical Leave to care for her dying daughter.
Her daughter, Samantha, was battling breast cancer, and Terri had used up most of her vacation and sick days to support her. After exhausting those, she took FMLA leave to continue caring for Samantha. When she asked for more time off, Terri was let go from her job of 30 years.
The blow was even harder when Samantha blamed herself for her mother losing her job.
Tragically, Samantha passed away shortly after.
Everyone wants to buy gold now. You should too
Did you know that 2024 has been a record year for gold demand?
Central banks have been buying gold like never before, with purchases surpassing 1,000 tons for the third year running!
Poland, Turkey, and India were the biggest players in this, and it’s no surprise, given the global economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
But, on the flip side, gold jewelry demand took a hit, dropping 11% as high prices kept consumers at bay.
This US shop got robbed of 100,000 eggs
Here’s a wild story from Pennsylvania: thieves managed to steal over 100,000 eggs - worth a whopping $40,000 - from Pete & Gerry's Organics!
This happened on February 1st, and while it sounds like something out of a movie, it’s no surprise, given the egg prices these days.
Thanks to the ongoing bird flu epidemic, egg prices have shot up by more than 65% over the past year.
In fact, even Waffle House had to add a $0.50 surcharge per egg, calling it a “temporary targeted surcharge” due to this price spike.
For perspective, the price of eggs jumped from $2.51 a carton last December to $4.15 this year.
